Doggie Dates

Created by Amberly 10 months ago

Dorothy was not only my aunt but also a friend and a mentor to me. We'd always go out together taking our dogs, Ellie and Pace, to new places to explore. The first dog meet was rough but we were able to get them to be chill with each other and eventually sitting in the same car together.

One of the most memorable doggie dates we had was to Fort Funston. It was one of the first times we brought our dogs to the beach. Along with that, we made trips around SF to eat and try new foods. The dogs definitely knocked out in the car after a long day.

The last time I saw Dorothy was the Sunday before she passed and we did a spontaneous trip to the Layfayette Resevoir with the dogs. It was so nice to get out and take a walk around the water. Afterwards, we went to get Lao food before going home. When she dropped me home, I remember planning to meet up again after finals week and take the dogs to the beach again.

In the past year that I got to know Dorothy, she was always adventurous and passionate about the things she does. Anything from restuarants to dog training to recipes, she never failed to surprise me. I'll always rememeber everywhere we went together and the adventurous spirit she passed on to me. Rest easy, Dorothy 🕊️🤍
